Nickelodeon Germany, Austria & Switzerland To Premiere "Spotlight" Season Two In September 2017

Nickelodeon Northern Europe has announced the exciting news that Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland), Nickelodeon Austria (Österreich) and Nickelodeon Switzerland (Schweiz) will start to premiere and show the all-new second season of Spotlight, Nickelodeon Deutschland's hit locally produced scripted TV series which follows the lives of five young talented students at theatrical school and their dreams to take the stage, in September 2017!


Nick Deutschland will start to premiere Spotlight season two on Saturday 23rd September 2017, kicking off with the first-two episodes from the new season, airing at 20:10 Uhr and 20:20 Uhr respectively. Following the debut of the first two episodes of Spotlight season two, Nick will premiere episode (folge) three on Sunday 24th September 2017 at 20:20 Uhr. New episodes will then continue to air weekdays at 20:10 Uhr.

Nickelodeon Österreich and Nickelodeon Schweiz will start to premiere the all-new second season of Spotlight on Monday 25th September 2017, kicking off with the first-two episodes from the new season, airing at 19:40 Uhr and 19:50 Uhr respectively. New episodes will then continue to air weekdays at 19:50 Uhr.


Samuel (Ben Rumler), Ruby (Lisa Küppers), Jannik (Dennis Oertel), Toni (Luana Knöll), Mo (Moritz Bäckerling), und Azra (Lea Mirzanli).

Leading up to the debut of Spotlight season two, Nickelodeon Northern Europe will encore Spotlight season (staffel) one (31 episodes) on Nickelodeon Deutschland weeknights at 20:10 Uhr and 20:20 Uhr from Monday 28th August 2017 and on Nick Österreich and Nick Schweiz weeknights at 19:40 Uhr and 19:50 Uhr from Monday 4th September 2017.

Spotlight follows teenagers Toni (Luana Knöll), Jannik (Dennis Oertel), Rubi (Lisa Küppers), Azra (Lea Mirzanli) and Mo (Moritz Bäckerling) and their studies at the "Berlin School of Arts", a fictional school that combines artistic education with ordinary education.

Spotlight season two will welcome new students to the school, including Rubi's rebellious little sister. A prank battle between Mo and Azra will also have unpleasant consequences for the entire school. Additionally, after Toni and Jannik shared a kiss at the end of season one, fans have been waiting to find out whether the two are finally a couple!

Nickelodeon will also expand Spotlight's digital presence for season two. In addition to the series airing on Nickelodeon, a look behind-the-scenes at the making of the show will be featured on Nickelodeon's Instagram (@SpotlightDeutsch), Musical.ly (@SpotlightDeutsch) and Snapchat (@SpotlightDE) channels. Additionally, the shows official Vlog, It's MoTV, will be extended to Nickelodeon's official YouTube channel. As in the first season, prominent guests will feature.

Spotlight is produced for Nickelodeon by UFA Serial Drama. The editorial team is Katja Zimmermann and Nina Paysen. Jonas Baur and Yvonne Abele serve as producers on the show. Spotlight season two will consist of 31 episodes.



Spotlight is Nickelodeon Germany's locally produced adaptation of Nickelodeon Netherlands' (Nederland) successful daily scripted TV series of the same name.
